Learning at Home
We expect all children to read their reading book at home at least three times a week to support their learning. Children should also access their 'TT Rockstars' for at least 15 minutes three times a week.
Each year group will also have six 'Teach Your Parent' activities per term linked to their wider curriculum learning. These are to enrich your child's wider knowledge and support you with further learning at home and are optional to complete.

What a fantastic and busy summer term it has been for the children in both Owls and Robins Class!
The term began with our wonderful class assemblies, where the children confidently shared their learning and showcased their talents to parents, carers and the wider school community. We were incredibly proud of their enthusiasm, confidence and hard work.
One of the highlights of the term was Sports Day. The children demonstrated excellent teamwork, determination and sportsmanship as they took part in a range of exciting events. It was wonderful to see everyone encouraging one another and enjoying being active together.
As part of our Science learning about animals and their habitats, we enjoyed an exciting visit to Peak Wildlife Park. The children loved seeing a variety of animals up close, including polar bears, lemurs, meerkats and zebras. A particular highlight was the opportunity to stroke the goats and hand-feed the lemurs, providing a memorable hands-on experience that helped bring their classroom learning to life.
In RE, our learning focused on Islam and the importance of respecting different faiths and places of worship. To enhance this learning, the children visited a local mosque, where they learnt more about Muslim beliefs and traditions. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for the children to develop their understanding of different communities and cultures, whilst showing respect and curiosity throughout.
Our learning about local history also came alive during a visit to the Josiah Wedgwood Museum. Linked to our History topic on the famous Staffordshire potter, the children explored the museum, toured the factory and discovered how Wedgwood pottery is made. They also enjoyed creating their own clay pots, gaining a greater appreciation of the skills and craftsmanship involved in pottery production.
We are incredibly proud of everything the children have achieved this term. They have shown resilience, enthusiasm and a love of learning throughout all of their experiences. We wish them all a wonderful summer break and look forward to seeing them continue to flourish in the next stage of their learning journey.
